John Park

John Park is a teacher and artist living in Los Angeles. He received his training at the Rhode Island School of Design where he studied classical drawing, painting sculpture and anatomy. His current work is an attempt to reconcile these classical influences with the more urban aesthetic of the New Contemporary art movement. The paintings are executed in a live, public setting in the many bars, clubs and musical events that serve as his studio. He teaches drawing and painting at Concord High School in Santa Monica.
