Kristin Farr

Kristin Farr is a San Francisco based artist whose work explores a legacy of folk art infused with neon colors and her own contemporary viewpoint.  Through her work, Kristin Farr explores the themes of rainbows, nostalgia, color psychology and positive vibes. Her interest in folk art and folk magic contributes to her exploration of human-made objects that are believed to have powers or talismanic properties, and she adapts this traditional art practice with her own unique style.

Kristin’s work was featured in 2016’s Sacramento Mural Festival and she has also been featured throughout the Bay Area, including at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the Berkley Art Center, the Bedford Gallery, Anno Domini and Fifty24SF. Her work has been commissioned by organizations such as Pinterest, Nike, Google, Kaiser and Urban Outfitters and has been featured at both Outside Lands and the Bonnaroo Music Festival. In addition to her paintings, this multi-talented artist is also a former producer for KQED, and currently serves as Deputy Editor for Juxtapoz magazine, as a curator for Facebook’s Artist-In-Residency Program, and as a contributor to the New York Times.
