Shaun Burner grew up in Sacramento, California, where he currently resides. He is the co-owner of 1810 Gallery which is known for showcasing thoughtfully curated and innovative talent. Burner’s passion lies in all forms of art, including music and carpentry, but he is mostly known for painting murals. A student of various mediums and styles, his work exudes esoteric connection. He is keen on site-specific installations and uses his structural environment as inspiration for his pieces. He joined Trust Your Struggle(TYS) in 2006, which is a collective of visual artists, educators, and cultural workers dedicated to social justice and community activism through the medium of art. Through this collective, he has traveled across the country and overseas to create empowering murals and perform community outreach. Shaun also helped start the collective M5 Arts with its debut project Art Hotel, followed by Art Street. Both of these projects were large scale immersive environments with a wide range of styles and mediums from over 100 artist.
