As a representational painter living in an age where modern art is prominent, I believe the traditions and the philosophies of the Old Masters of previous centuries should be upheld and passed on to each generation. From youth, I was always captivated by the beautiful and sublime works created by artists such as Bouguereau, Sargent, Thayer, Vernet and Zorn. I knew early on that I wanted to pursue painting as a life profession. I received my BFA in fine art, as well as having the rare opportunity to study at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. My works are a reflection of my personal interests, specifically history. I seek to convey that same aesthetic beauty within the visual narratives I create, as the old masters.
