Tochtlita

Melissa “Toch” is a multidisciplinary creative and arts educator from occupied Tongva territory. She is a self taught artist specializing in sign painting, design and screen printing. Her previous experience includes working with Self Help Graphics & Art for free public art workshops, to artist assistant work at LACMA. She was also an apprentice at ‘Hecho con Ganas’ taller under Ernesto Yerena. In her work she aims in creating visual awareness and support to develop needed financial and political resources for sustainable inner city indigenous communities.
