Fine artist Rob Hill is a Los Angeles based painter born and raised in Southern California. Rob is a self-taught artist, painting in ways reminiscent of pioneers like Frank Stella. His style is a blend of hard-edge, geometric abstraction, and color field painting techniques. His methodical approach to art is heavily influenced by 8 years of military service with the U.S. Coast Guard. Precise line work is present throughout each creation. Affinity for geometric shapes can be linked to 90’s television programs such as Martin, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and In Living Color. Patterns are inspired by global travel. Color inspiration is drawn from unique civilizations across space and time. Rob’s work has been featured in Los Angeles Magazine, Vogue Magazine Brazil as well as CBS 2 News. He was handpicked to participate in the first annual UNICEF Next Gen Art Party, benefiting UNICEF’s Tap Project. Rob Hill exhibitions have taken place in Hollywood, California at the TCL Chinese Theatre and during Art Basel for Revolt TV’s Blended Cultures Artist Series at Brisky Gallery in Miami, Florida.
